Crazy Sexy Motherhood — because in order to survive this experience, you need to be a little crazy. It’s sexy because it requires a certain sense of confidence from us that we didn’t know we had, and its motherhood or moederliefde — my favorite South African word meaning — mothering type of love. A type of love that can heal the broken hearted while we’re preparing dinner. At the same time, while we’re contemplating our how to bring more Zen into our life as the kids are destroying the house around us — moederliefde, mothering love, the type of rocket fuel that changes the course of lives.
My qualifications within the field of motherhood…
- Mother of four children, ranging from elementary school to community college.
- Delivered my own baby unintentionally/unplanned.
- Had my last baby in my 40s, unplanned again.
